Like Diogenes among the ancient Athenians, I carry a lamp and hold it to the faces of Medianites, searching for an honest report on The COVID. Alas, the Medianites merely echo the script written for them, reciting rather than investigating.
Only in the walled off back alleys of the Internet City does the light shine on truth - small lamps glow as unmasked souls huddle around the light and its visionary warmth. The rest of Internet City is dark.
From 1G to 5G, the airways are polluted with dark spots; the pages of print are covered with the black forecasts of doom, and the walls of the internet are painted by false prophets. SadoMasochistic Social Media sounds the sad refrain.
“Cases! Cases!” cry the Medianites. It is no longer deaths or hospitalizations, for these are far below their projected numbers. And what is a “case” since the majority are asymptomatic (more than 70%)?
The Medianites paint false word pictures for us: “Villainous Viruses Viable in Virtually eVery Vapor; The COVID Covers Cash and Counters; and Death Dealing Devilry Descends from every unmasked human breath!” Such are the headlines of fear.
This is their charge, and our only hope is a new V-word, the speedy V-word, the (hopefully at least 50%) effective V-word.
One of the greatest difficulties in life is when two false choices are presented to us. Death from The COVID, or be saved by the V-word, is a good example.
The scribes and Pharisees brought to Jesus a woman caught in adultery. They said Moses commanded that she be stoned, but they asked Jesus’ opinion. He must either obey or disobey Moses. As Jesus so often did, He chose a third way. He asked each person to look within their own character for the answer, come to their own conclusion as to the truth of the charge and the correctness of the response.
Our false headlines of fear appear to come from many directions at once. But they are merely echoes from The Hearts of Darkness, men whose desiccated souls rattle like dried corn in empty tins.
The Medianites read from the script of the Gatesman, their funder, and from the Fauci, their tutor.
The Gatesman is very rich, and he must be very wise, for the Medianites take his money and sing his praises like a Greek chorus to their god. His funds have trained the parrots of the WHO, as well.
The Gatesman hates freedom, America, you, and God (not necessarily in that order), so he wants to fix things. Some depopulation is a good place to start, but where his fickle finger will land is open to question.
The Fauci is the codpiece, the dignified covering put front and center. I have seen a famous actress gush over her hero, The Fauci (but she is trained to portray fantasy!). A darling of the Medianites, like the Gatesman he can do no wrong no matter how he contradicts himself or creates cognitive dissonance (wait, is what he said true and my senses are lying?).
But we must move on to the “Why?”

The desire to believe the lie and to trust a liar is our own failure of honesty. This reveals our own cowardice. And I have been guilty. Mea culpa!
