In memoriam – Linda Lea
May 25, 1950 - October 14, 2016
Linda Lea passed away in her sleep at home early Friday morning, October 14, 2016.
She wanted to be known for one thing: her faith in Christ and God and the Holy Spirit.
Linda was called into intercessory prayer in her 20’s, and into the more specialized intercessory work of being a natural health professional in her 40’s. The longer she worked with people in this field, the greater the connection she saw between wellness and a person’s belief in who they were. A session with Linda frequently involved an exercise called “Who I am in Christ.”
Linda took great joy in her children and grandchildren. I think she would have left us sooner if not for her desire to see them grow, grow not just physically from children to adults, but to see them all grow emotionally and spiritually, and to help them along in any way she could. That was her way with the people whose paths crossed hers, as well.
Anna Anderson, dear friend and co-worker, wrote of Linda, “… my beautiful friend, mentor and spiritual mom Linda Lea! She has taught me that all my pain and brokenness can be transformed into peace and be healed and made whole. She helped me understand the scriptures that we all read and know by heart but never believe! She helped me shed my fears! She helped me see myself through the eyes of my Savior Jesus!”
From Jana, her daughter: “She was the most amazing person I've ever known. The most often comment I've heard from others about her is "your mom is a special lady". And she was special and she was a lady. She was beautiful and graceful and had such a desire for people to find healing and to know the love of Christ. She touched so many people's lives. So many have special memories associated with her. For most of her life she was great at creating moments that made people feel special and loved. Moments that people don't forget. She endured and survived so much in her life, and no matter what happened she never let go of her Lord.”
From Linda’s book, Fruit of the Spirit; The Kingdom of Heaven Within:
“Peace is what Jesus brought. It is a blessing pronounced over all of us. The way we keep this peace from living in us is that we are a house divided against ourselves. We will never have it as long as it is peace with man that we are endeavoring to find…. Like love and joy, peace is from God” (pp. 64, 68).
May you all experience this peace.
