The Vital Virus, or The Us in Virus Facebook Post 2020 09 17
Like bacteria, there would be no life on earth without viruses.
Viruses are everywhere. The best estimate of the number of the virus population on earth is the number 10 decillion: 1 followed by 31 zeroes: 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. (I made up “decillion.”)
We need to rethink our attitude toward viruses as we are only now beginning to reevaluate bacteria. Viruses are not only necessary for helping to maintain balance in ecosystems, they are necessary to provide updates to the human genome to keep it functioning in the current environment of the time. (The Dr. Zach Bush video explains in half an hour the essence of this concept.)
“A virus is a chain of nucleic acids (DNA or RNA) which lives in a host cell, uses parts of the cellular machinery to reproduce, and releases the replicated nucleic acid chains to infect more cells.” (https://biologydictionary.net/virus/)
A virus is little more than a packet of information, either RNA or DNA. Not living, it has no purpose other than to deliver its payload of RNA or DNA to a receptor designed for it. We get our DNA update to help us to survive.
Think about it. The virus has no mind, senses, or ability to reproduce on its own. It carries an RNA or DNA payload that serves it no purpose. It has a specific target receptor as its destination.
Nature’s purpose in the virus is to transmit information to its host (bacterial, plant, animal or human). This is a genetic update to help the host adjust to current environmental conditions.
Why do viruses cause illness? Change.
Viruses require that our systems change how they operate. For example, in the fall in the northern hemisphere, carbon dioxide levels begin to increase as plants and trees shut down for the winter. Viruses alert us to the need to clean our breathing apparatus in order to take in oxygen more efficiently. A “cold virus” (occasionally it is of the corona type) sets a cleansing in motion.
Most people go through this process easily, with no symptoms (asymptomatic) or a few symptoms. Others, particularly those with existing health issues and/or old age, experience more difficulty with the process. This can be due to either a more toxic respiratory system, or less resiliency to change.
Physical death from the cleansing process is a sign of our inability to accommodate change, to cleanse, due to age or compromised health.
Note that the earth breathes on a yearly cycle, exhaling carbon dioxide in the winter and exhaling oxygen in the summer. The earth is full of microorganisms, and they are life to it. They were here before us, and they will be here after us.
When we pray for God to assist us, does He sometimes answer with a virus to help us to change?
