Looking Backward at 2022
Well, 2022 has been another interesting year….
We have again proven that we cannot print money and avoid inflation. U.S. debt jumped from $20 trillion to $30 trillion. The $10 trillion given away during the masked lockdowns/holdups has found its way into the consumer price index without a corresponding increase in personal income.
War is always a good diversion, except for the unfortunate people trying to live in its midst. The storm rages in Ukraine to what end? We seem to have set up their government to fail back in 2014, and it did. We have sent $98 billion to Ukraine this year, but there is no accounting for where it went. Some of it passed through Sam Bankman-Fried’s FTX and found its way to political contributions and a nice resort in the islands, but Ukrainians (and other Europeans) in unheated homes missed that give away.
The president’s prediction (12/16/21) of a winter of severe illness and death for the unvaccinated did not pan out. Instead, we learned that there still has never been a successful mRNA “vaccine.” The theories of genetics and vaccines have not overlapped and met in the real world.
That the misinformation available from alternative sources regarding COVID proved correct was just “luck” according to The Atlantic, and we should grant “amnesty” to those who masked us, closed our businesses (not “their” businesses) and schools, and locked us in our homes. Those in power violated most of the Bill of Rights, as well as the Nuremburg Code requiring informed consent on experimental medical interventions and the right to refuse such treatment. Hey, they were just “unlucky” how facts turned out.
Domestic terrorism at school board meetings has become a top target for the FBI. Everyone needs a focus for their work effort, but the actual goal of that work must remain paramount. For EVERY job, including public officials, SERVICE is a key word in the job description, whether printed on the page or not. Perhaps they are telling us we all need to be more attentive to school board policies….
Experts are busy warning us of the Tripledemic facing us this winter: flu, and COVID, and RSV, Oh my! Back to the future with masks and social distancing and staying at home lest the plague fall upon us. But don’t worry! There will soon be an mRNA jab for RSV. It is our only hope (remember that refrain from a couple of years ago?).
2023 will be better or worse, our choice.... 11/28/22
